This 33-square meter micro-apartment was created in the side wing of a fin-de-siècle building next to Savignyplatz in Berlin-Charlottenburg, and offers all the amenities of a stylish and urban get-away.
We designed a floorplan that generates sophisticated grandeur on a small scale. One central design element are the ceiling-to-floor curtains that act as a filter not only between courtyard and apartment but also within the space, allocating or hiding areas such as wardrobe, kitchenette and bathroom to or from the central living and sleeping space. The space is subdivided with almost no inner walls. Diagonal views are kept visible and express a sense of generosity. A muted color scheme and select furniture by Firma London create a quiet and intimate atmosphere.
